3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Great for Grandma's house, September 28, 2010 By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Fisher-Price Grow With Me Trike (Toy) I purchased this trike for my 22-month-old grandson to use at my house. I didn't expect him to be able to reach the pedals yet, but he certainly has a great time pushing himself along. By the second day he was already reaching for the pedals with his feet, so he is aware that he may soon be able to use them. Purchasers need to keep in mind that a recommended age range of 2-5 years means that the item is designed for that range, not guaranteed to work for every child in that range. And it doesn't mean that it will be fully functional for all children on the day they turn 2 until the day they turn 6. As for construction, it is plastic so we will have to see how long it lasts. Being Fisher-Price, I expect it to work just fine for as long as we need it and the cost ($30) seemed very reasonable. The assembly instructions are very detailed and it was easy to put together. My only question is about the molded hole in the back between the wheels. It appears that it was designed to be able... Read more
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Good quality beginner tricycle, January 31, 2010 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Fisher-Price Grow With Me Trike (Toy) We bought this trike for our 2 yr old grandson and he loves it, though he can't quite reach the peddles. It was easy to assemble, seems to be of good quality and I think it will last for several years.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Trial and Error Brought Us To THIS!!, January 1, 2011 = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Fisher-Price Grow With Me Trike (Toy) Let me start by saying this isn't the first tricycle our son has.
We purchased a much more expensive and highly rated Kettler. He likes it, but after playing incessantly with this trike at his friend's house, she bought one for our son too.
The other trike is set a lot higher, so our 28 month old (who is very tall) struggles to swing his leg over.
*This* trike is lower, so my little guy can get on easily, and is better able to scoot himself around (we're working on the concept of pedaling still!) I like that we can adjust the seat as he grows, and take off the pedal covers, too. There is so much potential with this tricycle!
My husband put it together very easily, which is another bonus.
So when you factor in my sons love for this trike, over his other trike, the ease of putting it together and the price - I feel a little foolish for spending the extra and buying him the other first.
This trike is excellent and we HAVE... Read more
